Our Story

In May 2020, a team of women came together to create a solution for a challenging financial climate in Africa. During a time when accessing physical cash became a challenge, their idea was to develop a digital wallet with all the features of banking, minimizing trips to ATMs and financial institutions while intentionally moving Liberia into a cashless society. The aim was to develop a home-grown digital financial service solution to reduce dependency on cash, reduce transaction costs and expand financial services usage to rural residents, and market & street vendors. After months of discussions and planning Kola Digital Finance was born.
